  • Tourists to Bangladesh should be conscious of their surroundings constantly. A lot of crime ranging from theft to assault is common in the country. Thus, one should keep valuables protected and travel in groups.
  • Important documents such as passports should be secured properly by chains or locks as there have been incidents of passports thefts at the Dhaka as well as the Sylhet airport.
  • Travellers should avoid political demonstrations as they have the possibility of turning violent. For this reason, they should avoid going to the hill regions of Chittagong and also around Universities in the country.
