It was the summer of 2015 when my family and I decided to visit my brother who was studying in Australia. This was my first trip abroad, needless to say, I was very enthusiastic. From the moment of the inception of the plan, I was so looking forward to it, that each passing minute felt like an hour, each passing day felt like months to me. Not only was I going to meet my brother after 9 months, this was also my first ever trip to a foreign country.
Finally, the big day arrived. So, my flight was at 9am, and I woke up 4:30 in the morning because of excitement and eagerness. To be completely honest, I don’t think I even slept. We called my brother on our way to the airport as he was also equally excited. Let’s skip ahead by 24 hours.
We were in Australia! Yay! As soon as I got out of the airport, it was shivering cold. Even wearing 2 jackets couldn’t stop the cold from hitting us. Eventually, I felt the warmth as I hugged my brother after 9 months. That moment was priceless. We were in Adelaide, and our plan was to visit Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne. To make this even better, we were going to road trip. We were going to cover approximately 3500 kilometres. I was very much looking forward to it.
Our first destination was Sydney which is approximately 1200 kilometres from Adelaide. We set out in the morning, and in no time, we were in the countryside. The view of the countryside was sensational.
I absolutely loved everything about Australia. The people there are extremely polite. The air is clean as a whistle. Everything is well maintained. It was a pleasure to drive on the roads of Australia as every road was maintained properly. Last but not the least, the views offered by the countryside and the cities were absolutely astonishing. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
